Arriving at the hotel, I found the rooms to be quite new and the shower very nice. The room was spacious enough for me, my partner, and our two kids, although we did have a small hiccup with the heating starting later in the day. The service was a mix of cheeky attempts to upsell and friendly, helpful interactions. The location, although a bit far from the city at around 2 km, was still centric and convenient, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The dining experience left something to be desired with the lack of fresh food and the need for a cooked breakfast. Overall, the stay was decent, especially considering the price.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, ideal for a short stay, but my attic room was small and noisy. The service was top-notch, with prompt assistance from the staff, but there were inconsistencies. The location was relatively close to the town center, though some noise concerns existed. Dining was a major letdown, overpriced and unacceptable. Overall, a decent stay with some flaws to consider.

6.4/10
My stay at the hotel was quite convenient for a city break in Edinburgh. The room I got, despite being at the bottom of the stair case, was spacious enough for three people and very clean. However, being in a tiny, scruffy loft room felt a bit cramped. The location was great with some good pubs and restaurants nearby and a short walk to the center, though slightly far from Princess Street. The dining was a bit off with additional charges for baggage storage and electricity issues, but the local products were a plus.
Rooms

Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms felt more like a hostel setup rather than a venue you'd expect for the price. Being located in the attic didn't add to the feeling of security. However, the staff's response to early arrival was commendable.
Rooms

I found this hotel to be a great budget-friendly option with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The rooms are cozy, even if they smelled slightly damp, but the free upgrade to a larger room was a pleasant surprise. The thin walls and noisy service were a downside, but considering the reasonable price, it's still a fantastic choice, especially for those looking to save some money.

The hotel is located along several bus routes, but the rooms looked quite worn out and needed painting and decorating. Although the rooms were too small to comfortably accommodate luggage and jackets, the hotel offers a convenient location with easy access to transportation.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms, decorated in old wood, looked quite worn out and needed painting and decorating.
Service
5.0
The service was extremely rude upon check-in, but on the bright side, there was at least Netflix available. The staff seemed uninterested in ensuring a pleasant stay, with a lackluster attitude.
Location
5.0
The location, with a 20/25 min walk to the bus stop, was acceptable but not up to a standard breakfast. It is close to the city center and offers softer stone floors.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience, included in the price but disappointing, offered industrial food directly from the supermarket, which was not value for money. The selection was poor, with minimal choices for the amount charged.
Facilities
5.0
The homemade cakes were a delightful touch, but the dining options were a major downside in terms of quality and value for money.
